KATHMANDU, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Hirendra Kuwar, who was elected Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN-UML) representative for the party's 8th General Convention, died in a road accident Sunday morning, said Nepal FM.
According to the radio report, the vehicle in which CPN-UML members from Achham were traveling met with accident in Dadeldhura district in far-western Nepal, some 525 km west of Kathmandu, while it was en route to Butwal. Other injured people are undergoing treatment in hospitals in the district.
The party's General Convention is scheduled to kick off in Butwal in western Nepal, some 185 km west of Kathmandu, on Monday.
