Chinese vice president opens first Confucius Institute in English-speaking Caribbean

    KINGSTON, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Visiting Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping on Friday unveiled the first Confucius Institute established in the English-speaking Caribbean region.

    Xi attended the opening ceremony of the Confucius Institute on the Mona Campus of Jamaica's prestigious University of the West Indies, in Kingston.
