BEIJING, Feb. 2 -- Rain and snow are expected to lash parts of China in the next three days, according to the National Meteorological Center.
Post-festival transport is under pressure as fog took hold Sunday, the first working day following the Lunar New Year holidays.
The center said the coming weather will continue to hamper the flow of people returning to work after the Spring Festival season.
A cold front with temperature drops of up to 8 degrees Celsius swept the northern part of China Sunday night and is expected to continue to Tuesday. Meteorological departments in the provinces of Anhui, Jiangsu and Liaoning also issued heavy fog warnings over the weekend.
The center forecasted fog and haze in Liaoning, Sichuan, Guizhou, Henan, and Zhejiang provinces. It said visibility was already down to within 200 meters in some regions.
