    Villagers in central China's Hunan province also showed their dramatic flair on stage.

    Chen Qile, villager, said, "I always play the trumpet at home. But standing on the stage made me feel like a star. That's fantastic."

    Traditional performances are being held throughout the country, to say goodbye to the Year of the Rat and to welcome in the Year of the Ox.
