ISLAMABAD, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yusaf Raza Gilani Tuesday told the visiting Saudi intelligence chief and the parliament that Pakistan would share "results of its investigation" of the Mumbai attacks with India after the process was completed.
Saudi Arabia on Tuesday rushed its intelligence chief Prince Muqrin Bin Abdul Aziz to Islamabad to reduce tension between Pakistan and India, the News Network International (NNI) news agency reported.
"Pakistan nonetheless was looking into whatever information has been provided by India relating to the incident and would share the results of its investigation with India, as soon as it was completed," Gilani said when meeting with Muqrin.
Gilani termed it regrettable that the Indian side had not accepted Pakistan's proposal. Due to its internal pressure, India opted to make Pakistan a scapegoat, he said when talking to Muqrin.
The NNI quoted Muqrin as saying that King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz sent him to Islamabad as his special envoy to deliver his special message to the leadership of Pakistan.
Both countries were united in confronting the challenges of terrorism and committed to eradicating this menace, Muqrin said.
