Israel launches new attacks against Gaza from air, ground and sea

    GAZA, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Israel launched new attacks against the Gaza city early Tuesday from air, ground and sea, and large sound of explosions was heard.

    The Israeli forces attacked Gaza backed by artillery and helicopters. No exact numbers of casualties were available now, but reports said large number of casualties might be possible. Full story

Witnesses: Israeli warplanes intensify airstrikes on Gaza

Twenty Palestinians were killed and more than 50 wounded on Monday as the Israeli military air and ground offensive goes on for the 17th successive day, medical officials said on Monday.

    GAZA, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Israeli F-16 warplanes intensified airstrikes on Monday night on several targets in Gaza City and southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah, witnesses told local radio stations broadcasting from Gaza.

    Medical sources said that five more Palestinians were killed in airstrikes on Monday evening in the neighborhood of Zeitoon in southern Gaza Strip, adding that 25 Palestinians were killed and 50 wounded on Monday. Full story
