BEIJING, Jan. 13 (Xinhuanet) -- British singer Amy
Winehouse's jailed husband is seeking a divorce against her over the alleged
infidelity, his lawer said Monday.
Attorney Henri Brandman comfirmed he had been
instructed by Blake Fielder-Civil "to commence divorce proceedings on the
grounds of Amy's adultery" after Fielder-Civil saw photos of the singer
cavorting with another man in the Caribbean while he sat in a British jail.
Winehouse was quoted by a London tabloid last week
saying she was "off the drugs for good" and has a new man in her life,
21-year-old actor Josh Bowman.
Grammy-award-winning singer Winehouse, 25, married
Fielder-Civil, 26, in May 2007. Since then, both have been arrested on drug
charges together and separately.
The husband was released into a drug rehab center in
November but sent back to prison weeks later for breaching his bail conditions.
"I don't know what's going on with us now, and for
the time being I've just forgotten I'm even married," the soul diva told the
tabloid.
The couple have been through many ups and downs and
it is the second time in six weeks that Fielder-Civil or those close to him have
spoken about a split.
Winehouse's spokesman did not immediately release any
comment.
The singer has spent recent weeks vacationing in St.
Lucia -- often along side a hunky rugby player.
