GENEVA, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- The UN Human Rights Council on Monday adopted a resolution condemning Israel's military operations in Gaza.
Israel's offensive in Gaza has "resulted in massive violations of human rights of the Palestinian people," said the resolution, which was adopted at a special session of the 47-state body.
The resolution blamed Israel for destroying Gaza's infrastructure and targeting civilians and medical facilities in its attacks.
It authorized the establishment of a fact-finding mission to investigate Israeli violations of international humanitarian law in Gaza.
The resolution also urged an end to rocket fire from Palestinian militants.
