Tibet able to cope with overloaded Spring Festival traffic

    BEIJING, Jan. 10 -- Railway, airline and landway transportations for leaving or entering Tibet Autonomous Region, southwestern China, are all in fully ready for Spring Festival and able to meet the tight traffic demand.

    Alliance ticket for changing trains in Xining and Lanzhou are available in Lhasa Railway Station to provide convenience for passengers, and food sold in railway station and train has passed safe inspection, according to Jia Nailin, deputy head of Lhasa Railway Station.

    "We work overtime everyday and plan to adopt the Airline 330, which has the biggest passenger capacity, during the tightest time, to cope with the overloaded Spring movement," said a staff with Air China Tibet Branch.

    Airline tickets before Spring Festival have no discount, and some discount tickets of 20 per cent are still available in few amount, according to the China Southern Airlines Company.

    Full-fare air tickets for Xi'an are ample before Spring Festival, said China Eastern Airlines.

    Besides, the Western Bus Station will extend the operating time and add provincial buses to Golmud, Xining, Chengdu and etc.
