    ISLAMABAD, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- The United States Vice President-elect Joe Biden Friday arrived here on a day-long visit to discuss various regional issues, official Associated Press of Pakistan reported.

    Biden is accompanied by Senator Lindsay Graham and will be meeting Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani to discuss various regional issues.

    Biden was received by Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and other officials.
