Special report: Palestine-Israel Conflicts
ATHENS, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- A Greek military plane carrying the second batch
of aid will leave for Gaza on Thursday as part of Greece's "Bridge of Hope"
humanitarian campaign, according to the country's Foreign Ministry.
A total of 13 tons of medical supplies, collected by the Foreign Ministry
in cooperation with the Parliament and the city of Athens, include medicines,
intravenous drips and hygiene material, said the ministry, officials from which
will accompany the shipment.
The military aircraft will fly first to Israel's Tel Aviv and then to Gaza.
This is the second batch of humanitarian aid from Greece to be sent to Gaza
since Israel began its massive military offensive on Dec. 27.
The first dispatch was on New Year's Day when two Greek C-130 planes
ferried 28 tons of aid to Gaza.
