FUKUOKA, Japan, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao left here Saturday after attending a trilateral meeting between leaders of China, Japan and South Korea.
The premier, his Japanese counterpart Taro Aso and South Korean President Lee Myung-bak held a tripartite meeting to promote cooperation.
They discussed trilateral ties, the ongoing global financial crisis and other issues of common concern.
Before the meeting, Wen met Lee and Aso respectively, and discussed bilateral relations with them.
They issued a joint statement on tripartite partnership relations after the meeting.
The three leaders also held a joint press conference, and met representatives for youths and children of the three countries.
The last tripartite meeting, attended by Wen, then Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, and then South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun, was held in Singapore on Nov. 20, 2007.

FUKUOKA, Japan, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Leaders of China, Japan and South Korea agreed Saturday to enhance effective cooperation in dealing with challenges amid the raging global financial crisis.
It is important to enhance regional cooperation to tackle the ongoing financial turmoil, said the Joint Statement on the International Finance and Economy issued after a meeting of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso and South Korean President Lee Myung-bak. Full story
Premier: China strives to maintain stable economic growth amid global financial upheavals
FUKUOKA, Japan, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- China is now adopting various measures to expand domestic demand and striving to maintain the stable and relatively rapid growth of its economy, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said here Saturday.

China expects positive result at upcoming meeting with ROK, Japan
BEIJING, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- China expects the upcoming tripartite meeting with the Republic of Korea (ROK) and Japan to achieve a "positive result", said Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao on Tuesday.
China hoped the meeting would enhance cooperation among the three nations in east Asia, and promote peace, stability and development in northeast Asia and east Asia, Liu told a regular press conference. Full story
