    STOCKHOLM, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- At least six persons died in a fire in the downtown of Oslo in the early morning of Saturday, said reports reaching here from the capital of Norway.

    The local police has not ruled out that more people died in the fire, the Norwegian news agency NTB said in a report.

    A total of 33 people were evacuated from the four-storey building. Fifteen were evacuated by ladder truck. Twelve are injured in the fire, with one seriously.

    The cause of the fire is unclear. According to first reports the fire may have started in one of the stairways, on the first or second floor.

    The fire has been brought under control two hours later and the fire fighters are now attempting to search through the whole building to ensure that all have been brought out.
