WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Detroit Pistons had center Antonio
McDyess back on Tuesday after trading him to Denver as part of the deal to
acquire Allen Iverson.
McDyess played in two National Basketball Association games for the Pistons
this season before they traded him to Denver in the deal for Iverson.
However, the Nuggets placed McDyess on waivers on November 6 after buying
out his contract.
That opened the door for McDyess to return to Detroit following the
required 30-day waiting period before he could re-sign with his former club.
McDyess, 34, originally joined the Pistons for the start of the2004-05
campaign and was the team's top bench scorer in each of his first four seasons
in Detroit.
A 12-year veteran, McDyess has played in 805 games with the Nuggets,
Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks and Pistons and has career averages of 13.4 points
and 7.7 rebounds.
