Tanzania helps Zimbabwe to fight cholera

    DAR ES SALAAM, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Tanzania has donated 60,000 U.S. dollars worth of medical supplies to Zimbabwe to help its fight against cholera.

    The Tanzanian ministry of health and social welfare made the donation in Dar es Salaam through the Dar-based Zimbabwe embassy on Monday, according to ministry sources on Tuesday.

    Official figures showed that Zimbabwe had reported a total of 11,735 cholera cases and 484 cholera-caused deaths since August.
