BANGKOK, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's anti-government group People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) on Tuesday agreed with airport authorities to open the Suvarnabhumi International Airport for incoming flights.

    The PAD, which led protesters to besiege the Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Don Mueang domestic airport since last Tuesday, paralyzing air service to and from Bangkok, has accepted the demand of the Airports of Thailand (AOT) to allow incoming flights to land at the Suvarnabhumi airport, according to a report by Bangkok Post website.

    The first incoming flight to the international airport is expected to be within 24 hours.

    The PAD's shut-down of the two airports have caused 350,000 foreign visitors and Thai tourists stranded inside Thailand, said the Tourism Ministry on Monday.

    The move came after the Constitution Court dissolved the People Power Party, Chart Thai and Matchimathipataya parties in the coalition government on charges of electoral fraud and banned all party executives from politics for five years.

    As a consequence, Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat, as acting leader of PPP, immediately lost his premiership.

    The PAD hailed the verdicts as victory in their showdown to topple the Somchai.
