SHIJIAZHUANG, Dec.1 (Xinhua) -- Nine people were injured after a firework plant exploded on Monday in north China's Hebei Province, according to provincial work safety bureau.

    The explosion took place at about 11:30 a.m. in a village in Handan City.

    Of the nine injured, one person was seriously hurt. No body was found dead in the accident, a spokesman for the work safety bureau said.

    The cause of the accident is under investigation.
