BANGKOK, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- At least four bombs in early
Sunday morning exploded at the rally sites of the anti-government People's
Alliance for Democracy (PAD) protesters in Bangkok, injuring at least 45.
The first bomb, reportedly M79 type, exploded at
midnight just 200 meters away from the PAD's main stage inside the Government
House which was seized by the anti-government group. At least 45 PAD members
were injured from the blast.
Some 30 minutes later, two other bombs exploded at
PAD's ASTV station. Witnesses also heard gunfire lasting about 10 minutes but no
injury was reported.
At about 4:00 a.m. (2100 GMT), at Bangkok's Don Muang
Airport --another rally site of the PAD, a bomb exploded near the main entrance
to the passenger terminal.
Before the explosion, about 7 gunshots were heard
from the direction of a warehouse deeper inside the airport compound.
No one was injured in the explosion.
Until Sunday morning, the PAD supporters still
continued their mass demonstration at two airports of Bangkok, although Prime
Minister Somchai Wongsawat has announced emergency decree in the areas of both
airports since Thursday night.
Atmosphere tense in Bangkok, but no action taken after emergency decree imposed
BANGKOK, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- The atmosphere on Friday morning was tense in Bangkok, especially at the two airports hijacked by anti-government protesters, after the government declared a state of emergency at the airports.
In early hours of Friday, two M79 grenades were lodged at the head office of satellite TV station ASTV, the mouthpiece of anti-government movement People's Alliance for Democracy. Full story

BANGKOK, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Thai Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat Thursday evening declared state of emergency over two Bangkok airports -- the Suvarnabhumi International Airport and DonMueang Airport, which were paralyzed since besieged by anti-government protesters on Tuesday night.
Somchai delivered a national TV speech from northern province Chiang Mai, which started at 9:00 p.m. (1400 GMT) Thursday to announce the emergency decree as the besiege of anti-government protesters have caused great loss to the many industries in the country, including goods export and tourism, which amounts to some 100 billion Thai Baht (2.86 billion U.S. dollars) per day.
