Danish FM arrives in Nepal

    KATHMANDU, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Per Stig Moller arrived in Kathmandu on Friday afternoon.

    He was scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on Wednesday. However, owing to the political disturbance in Thailand that forced to cancel all the flights from the international airport in Bangkok, his arrival was postponed for two days.

    Addressing journalists at a press conference organized in Kathmandu, Minister Moller expressed his pleasure to be able to come to Nepal.

    Referring to the mutual relationship between Nepal and Denmark,he said that he came to Nepal to see the political situation in the country.

    Moller is scheduled to meet Nepali President Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" on Friday.

    However, issuing a press statement, the Embassy of Denmark in Kathmandu said that Minister Moller's visit to the Bhutanese refugee camp in the eastern Nepal has been cancelled due to time constraint.

    Moller is in Nepal at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Upendra Yadav.

    The Danish minister is scheduled to leave Kathmandu for New Delhi on Saturday.
