Special report: Palestine-Israel Relations
RAMALLAH, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli forces arrested 23 Palestinians
across the occupied West Bank on Thursday, security sources said.
"The occupation forces launched a massive arrest campaign in various areas
amid random shooting," the security sources said, adding that the total number
of the detainees was 23.
Most of the raids took place in Ramallah, Hebron, Nablus and Tulkarem, they
added.
Meanwhile, Israeli sources said the detainees have been taken for
interrogation.
The raids are part of nearly daily operations targeting Palestinian
activists.
A Palestinian pro-prisoners activist said in the day that Israel killed 150
Palestinian detainees since the start of second Palestinian Intifada (uprising)
beginning in 2000.
"The Israeli army applied flexibility in shooting during the Intifada and
even against unarmed persons," added Eissa Qaraqe, who is also a
lawmaker.
