RIO DE JANEIRO, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- FIFA handed Peru
an international competition ban following FIFA president Sepp Blatter's
warning, a senior South American Football Confederation (CSF) said on Monday in
Asuncion.
Blatter last week warned that Peru may face an
international ban if their football federation and government are not to end a
long feud until Monday.
CSF secretary general Eduardo de Luca said in the
Paraguayan capital that FIFA materialized its warning.
The Peruvian government's Institute of Sports does
not recognize FPF president Manuel Burga, claiming his election was irregular.
