KATHMANDU, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee has arrived in Nepali capital Kathmandu on Monday for a three-day visit.
Mukherjee, who is leading an 11-member delegation, is expected to discuss entire gamut of bilateral issues including trade, transit, border problems and cooperation in water resources, financial assistance the ongoing peace process, review of the past treaties and agreements.
According to eKantipur.com report, during his visit, Mukherjee is scheduled to meet Nepali Prime Minister Prachanda, President Ram Baran Yadav, Vice-President Paramananda Jha and Constituent Assembly Chairman Subash Nemwang.
During his meetings with Prachanda the two sides is expected to review the 22-point agreement signed between India and Nepal in September when Prachanda went to India for the first time after assuming office.
Besides, the Indian minister will attend the ministerial level meeting of Nepal-India foreign affairs during his stay.
This is the first high-level visit of Indian minister after the formation of the government under the leadership of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist).
