KABUL, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- U.S.-led Coalition forces have killed two armed militants and one female civilians during an operation in southern Afghan province of Zabul, said a Coalition statement released here on Sunday.
Three people including one female civilian were killed and four more civilians were injured during the U.S.-led operation early Thursday morning in the volatile Zabul province, the statement said.
However, it did not specify further information about the operation, adding that the wounded were taken to hospital and received solatia payments.
"The incident is under investigation," it said.
Spiraling conflicts and Taliban-linked insurgency have claimed over 5,000 people with more than 1,500 civilians so far this year in Afghanistan.
