BANGKOK, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- One guard of the Thai anti-government People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) died in hospital and another seven were injured after two unidentified assailants on Saturday's early morning launched a grenade at the Misakawan Intersection outside the Thai government House which was seized by the PAD.
The attack occurred at 2:10 a.m. (1910 GMT, Friday), leaving a total of eight guards of the PAD injured, just two day after a bomb was triggered inside the Government House complex which killed one and injured 20 others on Thursday.
Among the eight injured guards, a 22-year-old man died in hospital in the morning and another two were in critical situation.
Local reports said some witnesses saw two suspicious men riding motorcycles launched the grenade.
After the blast, local police has sealed the venue.
The PAD has been staging anti-government protests since May 25 in Bangkok and occupied the Government House for rally since Aug. 26.
After the pre-dawn attack, the PAD called an emergent meeting. The Manager newspaper reported on its website that all leading members of the PAD will discuss the situation during the meeting session.
They will also discuss details of the mass rally planned on Sunday, said the report.
