JAKARTA, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian government is looking to China and South Korea for tips on how to combat public sector corruption through implementation of new models, the Jakarta Globe daily on Thursday quoted an official as saying.

    "In eradicating corruption, we are required to learn about new initiatives, and that includes learning from overseas, for example, from China and South Korea." said Taufiq Effendy, the Indonesian Administrative Reform Minister.

    The two countries established systems that will prevent people from irregularities in business practices which are also popular in Indonesia, particularly in procurement application, he said.

    By imitating China and ROK's system, Taufiq said he hoped Indonesia would improve its rank on the Corruption Perception Index, a parameter which is used to appraise Indonesia's improvement in graft fight.
