ISLAMABAD, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- At least 24 militants
were killed including an important commander and 13 foreigners in last 24 hours
during Pakistan's security forces offensive against militants in the country's
tribal town of Bajour, according to a private Geo TV report Thursday.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's security forces bombed the
suspected hideouts of militants that attacked a NATO check-post in Afghanistan,
according to a statement issued Thursday by the Kabul-based International
Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
ISAF has asked for help from Pakistan when militants
launched attacks on a check-post of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization
(NATO) near Paktipa in Afghanistan.
Responding to NATO's appeal, the ISAF said,
Pakistan's security forces heavily bombed the militants' positions with tanks
and artillery.
This step is just one example of increasing
cooperation between Pakistan and NATO, said the ISAF.
