James scores past 11,000 career points milestone

    WASHINGTON, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- LeBron James scored 15 points in the first quarter of Tuesday's Cleveland Cavaliers game against New Jersey Netes to become the youngest player to score 11,000 career NBA points.

    The forward had needed 13 points to succeed Kobe Bryant as the youngest player to reach the milestone before Tuesday's game in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

    James reached the 11,000-point mark at the age of 23 years and 323 days, while Los Angeles Lakers guard Bryant was 25 years, 99 days when he made it to 11,000 points.
