BAGHDAD, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and 23 others injured in a car bomb explosion in central Baghdad on Saturday, an Interior Ministry source said.
A car bomb parked near the National Theater in Karrada neighborhood detonated around sunset, killing three people and wounding 23 others, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The blast also destroyed 12 nearby civilian cars and caused damages the surrounding buildings, the source said.
Earlier in the day, two bomb explosions rocked the Iraqi capital, wounding a total of 10 people, including three policemen, the Interior Ministry said.
Despite the security gains in recent months in Iraq, there are still sporadic bombings, which shape setback to the Iraqi government.
