MACAO, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Team Jebsen driver Darryl O'Young continued his impressive form at Macao, securing pole position in his Porsche 997 GT3 Cup for Sunday's Windsor Arch Macao GT Cup.

The Hong Kong driver's impressive time of 2:27.110 was two seconds faster than that of Briton Danny Watts, also in a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup, who will start alongside O'Young on the first row.

Japan's Keita Sawa will start from third on the grid in his Lamborghini Gallardo GT3. Macanese driver Rodolfo Avila in a Ferrari F430 GT3 and Portuguese driver Cesar Campanico in a Ferrari F360 Challenge qualified fourth and fifth, respectively.

O'Young was pleased that qualifying had gone according to plan, saying "Everything with the car feels good. It's not going to be arace of sheer pace, but one that's going to involve seeing who gets through traffic clearly and smartly."

Watts, competing at Macao for the seventh time, said he was happy to be on the front row and said the team had done their best. Of his chances of taking a third win at the Macao Grand Prix, Watts said: "The first lap will quite possibly decide the race. It's very important to get into the lead into Lisboa turn and if Idon't, it's going to be very difficult to overtake unless Darryl makes a mistake."

Avila, the newly crowned Asian Super Car Challenge champion and local favorite, was comfortable with his qualifying position and expected to challenge for a podium position. "Today was a little bit better and I was more confident," said Avila, who has competed on the Guia Circuit since 2002, although this is his first year racing in a sports car.

"I think I can fight for third place and I think that I can geta podium for Macao."
