JOHANNESBURG, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Congress of the People, a new South
African political party to be launched in Bloemfontein on Saturday, will unveil
its logo, the SABC reported.
The logo which will have colors of the South African flag is expected to be
used by the party after all the processes of registration have been completed.
Member of the interim structure Lindel Shophe Mafule said the name
"Congress of the People" belongs to all South Africans and has brushed aside the
ANC's complaints that the name belongs to the ruling party.
"The challenge that we have which is one of the things that we are talking
about is how do we make it truly a Congress of the People."
"How do we make it inclusive as a party, more inclusive than any other
party in the country. And I think that the reason we can do that is really
because, we now 14 years or so into our democracy and therefore that allows for
that to happen and we have that responsibility and we are not going to fail the
people of South Africa in that regard," she said.
