Special report: Tension escalates in Iraq
BAGHDAD, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Two American soldiers
died in separate non-combat related incidents in Iraq, the U.S. military said on
Friday.
A soldier died as a result of non-combat related
cause at around midday on Thursday in western Iraq, a military statement said.
Another soldier died early in the same day in
non-combat related incident in Baghdad, the military said in a separate
statement.
The names of the deceased soldiers are being withheld
pending notification of next of kin, the statements added.
About 4,197 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq
since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003, according to media count based on
Pentagon figures.
