SHANGHAI, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- The seventh seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga notched up a face-saving victory and ended Novak Djokovic's winning streak in the Masters Cup tournament after beating the second seed 1-6, 7-5, 6-1 here on Thursday.

With Tsonga eliminated after losing his first two Gold Group matches and the Serb already into the semis, the contest was a dead rubber.

But both players showed no let up and Tsonga edged the contest with some aggressive play in the third set to end Djokovic's one hundred per cent record in the prestigious tournament.

Nikolay Davydenko and Juan Martin del Potro meet in the decisive group game.
