PYONGYANG, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Iran will consolidate and develop bilateral relations with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the visiting Iranian vice president said Monday.

The two countries, "standing in the anti-imperialist front," are closely supporting and cooperating with each other in international arenas, the official KCNA news agency quoted Mohammad Javad Haji Ali Akbari as saying.

Akbari had a friendly talk with Kim Yong Nam, the DPRK's top legislator, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Monday.

The vice president arrived here Thursday, heading a delegation of the National Youth Organization of Iran.
