BAGHDAD, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- An Iraqi policeman was killed and seven people
were injured on Sunday in roadside bomb explosions across Baghdad, an Interior
Ministry source said.
A policeman was killed and three others were wounded when a roadside bomb
detonated near their patrol in the al-Kamaliyah neighborhood in southeastern
Baghdad, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
A police vehicle was badly damaged by the blast which also caused damages
to several nearby shops and civilian cars, the source said.
Also in southeastern Baghdad, two more civilians wounded by another
roadside bomb explosion in the Mashtal neighborhood, the source added.
Separately, a policeman and a civilian were injured when another roadside
bomb went off near a police patrol in Baghdad central neighborhood of Karrada,
he said.
A fourth roadside bomb exploded near a police patrol near an intersection
in the neighborhood of Bab al-Mua'dham, damaging a police vehicle, he added.
Sporadic attacks continue in Iraq despite the U.S. and Iraqi officials
announced a relative lull in violence during the past months.
