BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Strengthening relations
between China and the European Union (EU) will contribute to the world peace,
stability and prosperity amid complicated international situations, Chinese
President Hu Jintao said here on Thursday.
The significance of Sino-EU
relations has surpassed the bilateral level and is of more and more
international significance, Hu said during his meeting with European Commission
President Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, who is here to attend the seventh
Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) to be held on Friday and Saturday. Full story

BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu
Jintao met here Thursday with Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende, who is
here for an official visit and the seventh Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) to be held
on Oct. 24 to 25.
During the meeting at the Great Hall of the People,
Hu said Sino-Dutch relations have witnessed stable development since 1972, when

BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao
met with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Thursday morning,
vowing to further advance strategic partnership and jointly contribute to the
financial stability of the region.
Calling Indonesia a good neighbor and a strategic
partner of China, Hu said China would like to work with Indonesia to enrich the

for cooperation in the South China Sea to discover ways to address bilateral
disputes over the region.
