Obama, McCain unveil new economic proposals

    WASHINGTON, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Amid deepening financial crisis, both presidential candidates laid out new economic proposals Friday to attract economy-weary voters.

    Campaigning in Ohio, Democratic senator Barack Obama unveiled a plan to help rescue small-business owners struggling to stay afloat in the sinking economy.

Obama, McCain debate over economy, foreign policy

    WASHINGTON, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- U.S. presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain centered their second debate on economy Tuesday night at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.

    They also offered contrasting views on foreign policy issues.
