BEIJING, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- China will make
concerted efforts with Madagascar to push forward the bilateral relationship,
China's top legislator Wu Bangguo said here Thursday when meeting with the
Madagascar's guests.

"Expanding relations with Madagascar and other
African countries served as basis of China's diplomatic policies," said Wu.
"Since the two sides forged ties, the continuously deepening cooperation in
various fields indeed has benefited people of the two states."
Head of the delegation, Madagascan Senate President
Yvan Randriasandratriniony, also president of Madagascan ruling party Tiako i
Madagasikara (TIM), said the purpose of his visit was to step up the bilateral
cooperation between the two parties, parliaments, and governments, and to draw
on China's experience in development.

"Exchange between the parties and parliaments of the
two countries is an important part of China-Madagascar relationship." Wu also
expressed the willingness to further cooperate with TIM and Madagascan congress,
aimed at reinforcing the bilateral relationship.
Head of China's International Department of the CPC
Central Committee Wang Jiarui also met with Yvan on Thursday.
