MOSCOW, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- England have called up Middlesbrough defender David Wheater and Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart as last effort in squad building for Wednesday's World Cup qualifier with Belarus in Minsk.

    The pair flew straight to Minsk late on Tuesday after helping the England U-21 side reach next summer's European Championship finals in Sweden at the expense of Wales.

    They were set to join up with Fabio Capello's squad for a training session on the morning of the match.

    Wheater comes in as cover for injured captain John Terry at center back while Hart's inclusion fills in the exit of West Ham goalkeeper Robert Green.
