KABUL, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Four civilians were injured by warning shots of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) as the civilians' minibuses attempted to enter an ISAF convoy in the outskirts of Afghan capital Kabul on Thursday, a statement of the alliance released here said.
It occurred at about 7:45 a.m. (0315 GMT) when the ISAF soldiers fired four warning shots as two minibuses attempted to enter the military convoy and "disregarded the warning signals", the statement said.
"Three men and one child presented themselves later the incident at an ISAF base in Kabul who had minor injuries and received medical treatment," it said. "One of them has already left the facility."
Earlier, local media reports said French troops have wounded four Afghan civilians as they ignored the warning signals on a road outside capital.
Conflicts and spiraling insurgency have claimed the lives of over 4,000 people with 1,445 civilians, so far this year in the war-battered country.
