    KATHMANDU, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Major responsibilities in the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (CPN-M) was reshuffled in a central secretariat meeting held on Friday.

    Deputy commander of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), the CPN-M armed force, Nanda Kishor Pun known as "Pasang" has been given full command of the PLA.

    The former PLA chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" was elected the first prime minister of Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. On the eve of election, the party had announced that party leaders elected to the Constituent Assembly would not have any attachment with PLA.

    The meeting also shouldered responsibility of the party organization department to another senior leader Mohan Baidya known as "Kiran", according to local TV channel Kantipur.

    Posta Bahadur Bogati has been given the responsibility of parliamentary affairs department while C.P. Gajurel continued to look after party's foreign affairs department.

    The meeting was held at Prime Minister Prachanda's official residence at Baluwatar in capital Kathmandu. The party has also decided to hold central committee meeting after Prachanda's India visit started from Sept. 14.
