KABUL, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- An Afghan newspaper the Daily Outlook on Sunday appreciated China for holding Paralympic Games which was opened Saturday in Beijing.

"The Paralympics sports even help the people to be aware of and care for the people with disability, who are mostly vulnerable to remaining invisibility in many countries," the daily said in its editorial.

It said the Chinese capital Beijing, days after the end of "breath-taking, historic and splendid" Olympic Games, is "displaying grandeur" of hosting the Paralympics games.

Citing the remarks of Chinese President Hu Jintao, the newspaper observed the Paralympics games was inaugurated with the concept of "transcendence, integration and equality."

"We have set the goal of 'two Games with equal splendor and guided by the concept of 'transcendence, integration and equality'," the daily quoted President Hu as saying.

Afghanistan which won a bronze medal at the Beijing Olympic Games last month, has sent a five-member delegation to participate the ongoing Beijing Paralympics Games with the hope to earn honor for the war-torn country.
