BAGHDAD, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Two American soldiers have been killed in Iraq
in a roadside bomb attack in Baghdad, the U.S. military said on Friday.
The two soldiers, assigned to Multi-National Division - Baghdad, were
killed shortly after midday on Thursday when insurgents struck their patrol with
an improvised explosive device in eastern Baghdad, the military said in a
statement.
The names of the deceased soldiers are being withheld pending notification
of next of kin, it added.
About 4,154 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led
invasion in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
