At least 20 militants killed in NW Pakistan

    ISLAMABAD, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- At least 20 militants were killed during heavy exchange of firing with security forces in northwestern Pakistan between Wednesday night and Thursday.

    The official APP news agency quoted a press release by the paramilitary Frontier Corps as saying that at about midnight of Sept. 3, 20 militants were killed during heavy exchange of firing with the Frontier Corps soldiers in the restive Dara Adamkhel.

    Meanwhile, the militants fired rockets on a security forces check post, Chinaz near Tor Ghundai, injuring two security personnel. The rockets were fired from Mullah Killi and area of Jaag in Bajaur Agency.

    Moreover, militants also fired several rockets at a security forces camp in Khar, headquarters of Bajaur. In the incident, three security forces personnel sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
