BEIJING, Sept. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Jamie Lynn Spears, the 17-year-old sister of Britney Spears who gave birth to a daughter in June -- sent a baby gift to 17-year-old Bristol Palin, who is five-month pregnant.

    Bristol, the teenage daughter of Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin, was revealed in a statement earlier this week that she is expecting a baby.

    Palin said that she and her husband Todd were "proud of Bristol's decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents."

    On Tuesday, Lynne Spears, Jamie Lynn's mother, called Beverly Hills baby boutique Petit Tresor in West Hollywood, Calif. looking for something nice and settled on a 60-U.S.-dollar gift -- white burp cloths with pink writing, a spokesman for the store confirmed.

    The note attached to the gift reads, "Dear Bristol, Hang in there… xoxo, Jamie Lynn."

    The McCain campaign put celeb Britney Spears and Paris Hilton in the infamous "Celebrity" ad, now the Spears family has interjected itself into the mix.

Palin's teenager daughter gets pregnant

    WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin shocked the first day of the party's national convention on Monday by announcing her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant.

    The 44-year-old governor of Alaska said in a statement with her husband Todd that her daughter, Bristol, brought up with the news and made them realize she grows up faster than they had ever planned.
