RAMALLAH, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Israeli forces arrested 10 Palestinians early
Wednesday in various part of the occupied West Bank, Palestinian and Israeli
security sources said.
The Israeli sources said the army arrested 10 wanted Palestinians in
Nablus, south of Jenin and north of Hebron, the detainees were taken for
interrogation.
Six of the detainees were taken from their houses in Nablus during an
Israeli military incursion and search operations, according to the Palestinian
security sources.
The Israeli army operates in West Bank almost every night to chase down
what Israel calls wanted Palestinians. The raids did not stop despite ongoing
peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian National Authority (PNA).
Meanwhile, Islamic Jihad movement said its fighters exchanged fire with the
Israeli soldiers near Jenin after midnight.
A statement issued by the radical movement said that its fighters fired
grenades and opened fire at the invading forces which were storming houses of
militants belong to the armed wing of the movement.
There were no reports of casualties about the two sides.
