NANNING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- The 2008 F1 motorboat world
championship China grand prix will be held from October 10 to 12 in Liuzhou,
south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, a local government official said
on Tuesday.
More than 20 top world-class F1 motorboat racers will
compete in the China grand prix that is the fifth-leg competition of the 2008 F1
world championship.
Gan Lin, vice mayor of Liuzhou, said the circuit for
the competition in the Huafengwan water area will be located between Hongguang
bridge across Liujiang river and the No. 1 bridge of Liujiang river, which
belongs to the central downtown area of Liuzhou.
"After proper improvement, the circuit can completely
meet the competition's requirements," added Gan.
