ANKARA, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Turkish Open Golf Championship will be held in the southern province of Antalya's resort town of Belek between September 4 and 7, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Tuesday.

    A total of 135 golf players from 24 countries will participate in the championship, said the report.

    The first Turkish Open Golf Championship was held in 2002.

    For the first time in the championship's history, female golf players would attend the competitions.

    A total of 37 female golf players from 10 countries will compete in Belek this year.
