FIFA 1st management course conducted in Myanmar

    YANGON, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- A campaign to discuss management and the role of executives and designating duties among member countries of the Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) has been underway here, official newspaper The New Light of Myanmar reported Tuesday.

    The two-day campaign, which is the first of its kind conducted by FIFA in Myanmar, was launched at Youth Training Camp in Thuwunna on Monday, attended by coaches of FIFA, President of Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) and officials of MFF, the paper said.

    Such similar campaign will also take place in Cambodia with the participation of MFF's president, general secretary, treasurer, chairman of referees committee, technical director, chairman of the contests organizing committee in addition to those from FIFA, it added.

    Meanwhile, a football fitness coaching course, jointly organized by the FIFA, the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) and the MFF, has been conducted at Goal Hotel in Thuwunna here from Aug. 25 to 30, attended by 17 trainees from seven ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries -- Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Singapore.

    The six-day football fitness coaching course, which is coached by Singaporean Aleksandar Bozenko, was attended by eight trainees from Myanmar, two each from Cambodia, the Philippines and Singapore and one each from Brunei, East Timor and Malaysia, it added.
