JAKARTA, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- An Indonesian disabled-bodied tennis player
said Friday that she would give best performance in the Beijing Paralympic Games
for her country.
"For the last three months' regular exercises, my coach prepared me to
improve strength," Indonesian woman wheelchair tennis player Ida Yani told
Xinhua.
Yani earned gold medal in a national games for disabled-bodied athletes in
East Kalimantan in Indonesia, which was like a warm-up for her to prepare for
the Beijing Paralympics.
Yani has started to concentrate on multievents games, such as ASEAN Para
Games IV in Nakhonratchasima, Thailand 2008, since 2003.
Yani, like other disabled-bodied people, lives in a dorm named Cheshire in
south Jakarta.
"My friends at the dorm always give best wishes to win the games at Beijing
Paralympics," said the 36-year-old tennis player.
