Korean newspaper: DPRK does well at Beijing Olympia

    PYONGYANG, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- The good performance of he athletes of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) at the summer Olympic games demonstrated its sports were developing in an all-round way, a Korean newspaper said Monday.

    The DPRK took a very good result at the Games by winning two gold, one silver and three bronze medals, said a commentary carried by Choson Sinbo, a newspaper run by ethnic Koreans in Japan.

    The DPRK, which was going all out to build a powerful and prosperous country, will win a more brilliant record at the 2012 London Olympia, it said.

    It expected the DPRK and South Korea would attend the next summer Games in a united team, saying it would push the united team into the first five places of the gold medal lists.
